About The Founder,
Ilona Gowrie-Smith
Ilona is an Australian born gemmologist and jeweller. After nearly a decade in the Investment Banking world, she decided to pursue her first love — gems and jewellery. She moved to London where she earnt her Graduate Gemmologist title at GIA and was then fortunate enough to train in Mayfair, at The Antique Jewellery Company, one of the largest antique dealers in London.
She now lives in Mallorca, Spain with her family and continues to travel the world seeking inspiration for new designs and sourcing special pieces for her vintage collection.
Through Ilona London, she works as both curator and advisor, helping clients build jewellery collections rooted in individuality, craftsmanship and enduring style.
